Today I went for a long walk through the cold streets of Downtown Calgary.  It was -10C outside with large snow-flakes swirling between the buildings.  No matter where I stood outside I couldn't escape the snow.  The weather, plus the grey sky set the mood and I wandered out with my camera for an extended period.  I only shot about 50 exposures and ended up with about 10 good shots. I upgraded my camera to something a little more professional so I believe I should upgrade my photography as well.  I've been shooting digital as though I'd shoot film.  Very few & with careful consideration of the shot.  I'm liking the results so far.

I was invited to a group show which is opening this Saturday, and it'll be my first show.  It's a cityscape show at Image 54, downtown Calgary, and the opening is this Saturday 1pm. It's kind of exciting, really, to know that many people outside of the college will be seeing my work.  It's not a guarantee of course that it'll be sold, but the invitation shows SOMONE outside of the college has a professional interest in my work.
