Horah! my first time using an oil medium!
This is me under water. Part of a kinda triptych/series project we're working on in Painting Media. It's oil stick with gel alkyd medium n thinner in some areas on velum paper. I took the picture of myself under water in the bath tub. I think I may upload the photographs used for the paintings as well.
this is my most successful of the bunch. I'm kinda not satisfied with the rest. The only qualm I have is the little bit of blue on the forehead, but I can take that off whenever I'm not lazy. Just need to use a little thinner or something..
Tell me what u think. constructive criticism please.

sold at ACAD spring show & sale 2004. unfortunately i didn't get a picture of it for slides, and i have NO clue who bought it... kind of sad because it's one of my favorite pieces... maybe i'll just drown myself again n paint that again...

Great work... I really like your technique in this... i think it's fantastic... it really does look like it's underwater 
The shading and depth to the face is great... it doesn't look flat like anything i'd draw. There's just one thing bothering me about the whole piece... it's that light bit on the left hand side level with the chin. It looks a bit weird... and out of place? And the shoulders look a little strange because they are such a different colour to the neck... on second glance though it may be because you're wearing clothes? Can't work that one out. Nice work though
